This episode of Public Health Impact (PHI), produced by the University of Georgia College of Public Health, provides an introduction to the growing field of telemedicine and telehealth, as well as an brief snapshot of how UGA is advancing this field's new public health tools. The new MBA/MPH program, a collaboration between the College of Public Health and Terry College of Business, is featured. Recent graduates from the MPH program share the results from their capstone projects at College's annual poster day.
Guests are: Dr. Pamela Whitten, Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost, University of Georgia; Dr. Neale Chumbler, professor and head, Department of Health Policy and Management, College of Public Health; Deirdre Kane, director of MBA Admissions, Terry College of Public Health; Jack Gardner, current MBA student/MPH program graduate, and recent MPH graduates. Interviews were recorded in Rhodes Hall, the College of Public Health's new administrative home on the UGA Health Sciences Campus.
PHI, now in its fourth season, is hosted by Dr. Cham Dallas and Dr. Phaedra Corso, faculty members in the college's Department of Health Policy and Management, and filmed at various locations on the UGA Health Science Campus and in Athens, Ga.
